About Prof. Dr. Mahfooz Ur Rahman:

Prof. Dr. Mahfooz Ur Rahman is an accomplished haematopathologist with vast diagnostic, teaching and administrative experience in Pakistan and in Malaysia. He has been Professor of Pathology at Punjab Institute of Cardiology, Post Graduate Medical Institute and Director Institute of Blood Transfusion Service Punjab. He was instrumental in starting Hep C screening of blood donors in 2000 in the public sector, setting up multiple thalassemia care centres and apheresis / component laboratories in Punjab for the management of dengue patients. He has represented Pakistan at many national and international forums on safe blood transfusion and haemovigilance including WHO/CDC conference. He has multiple national and international publications to his credit.
